rimmel london glam'eyes mascara in midnight black. rrp at around aud$19. i bought it a while ago when all rimmel mascaras were reduced to aud$10.
it comes with a slim flexible brush. thought i'm not quite sure how the flexibility improve application. you need to apply more force to move it and that is too much force to apply mascara.
this is my mascara of the moment, after frustrated with the previous mascara of the moment, which i decided to ditch after using it for less than a month. yes, i was so unhappy with it. i normally try to prolong the life of mascaras for up to 3 months.
what it does
taken from the website:
volumflex brush styles lashes for sensational volume and instant separation.
it's been a while that i'm impressed with a mascara brush. i love the slim brush. it's perfect for my short and barely there lashes. it can easily reach the hard-to-reach area without making a mess.
though i think the flexible part of the wand is useless and not functional.
the product promises '7x more lash intensity'. as usual, i do not see it.
the product itself is rather dry. i don't know if it's a bad, old and dried out product, or that's how it should be. i need to apply at least 5 to 6 coats to make my lashes a bit more visible. just a teeny tiny bit! it is quite time consuming to apply that many coats!
because the product is quite dry, the smudge factor that i always complain with 99% of mascaras is almost non-exisitent.
it's highly unlikely i'll repurchase. the amount of time to apply that many coats is too time consuming. in fact, i'm seeing myself ditching it soon.
